Welcome to Scale Tales! This is a business storytelling podcast where guests share their stories, in their own words, about those magical moments when they achieved something so grand that even they didn’t think it was possible.

Hi there, it’s me again. Alicia Butler Pierre, the creator of Scale Tales and the CEO of Equilibria, Inc.

No, you won’t hear an actual story during this episode. But, if you are a certified project management professional, also known as PMP, then what I’m about to share will be of particular interest to you.

In the last episode I shared or hinted at an exciting announcement to share with you.

I promised to share more information with you. And, well, here it is.

As I mentioned in the last episode, Equilibria is the company that produces Scale Tales. We are an authorized training partner of PMI, the Project Management Institute. Now, when you listen to an episode of Scale Tales, you will be able to earn PDUs!

Yes! You can earn PDUs toward your PMP re-certification by listening to Scale Tales episodes!

Here’s how it works…

1. Subscribe to the show.

2. Listen to an episode. You can always listen for free, but if you want to earn credit for listening, then take the next step.

3. Click the Scale Tales weblink. It’s located in the show notes of the episode.

4. Click the Get CEU/PDUs Credit button. It’s located directly below the title of the episode. You will be routed to a login page.

5.Click Register. From here, you’ll be asked to sign up for membership. Don’t let that scare you off – I promise these membership options are affordable, and, starting at $9.99 USD per month, you can listen to an unlimited number of episodes to fulfill your PDU requirements for re-certification with PMI.

6. Once you’ve registered, you will now have access to our Learning Management System. You’ll notice a dashboard along with podcast episodes that are approved by PMI. You can search for the specific episode you’re looking for OR, you can search for episodes by topic.

7. Select the episode you want to listen to. You’ll then notice things like how many PDUs that episode is worth as well as the specific area of the PMI talent triangle that the episode applies to. You’ll also notice a quiz.

8. Take the short quiz. These are usually three multiple choice questions. Don’t worry, you’ll answer these correctly without any problems!

9. And that’s it! You’re done! We’ll then submit your PDU credit information directly to PMI on your behalf. You can expect it to appear in your PMI account within five business days.

Again, we are so excited to offer our podcast episodes to you as a viable resource to earn your PDUs toward PMP re-certification.

Remember, once you register and log in to the membership portal, you will only see episodes that PMI has approved up to that point.

Soon, we’ll also have a video on our YouTube channel where you can see the things I’ve described in this audio. You can visit the show notes of this episode to watch that video.

And in case you’re wondering…yes, we will eventually expand our ability to award continuous education credits from other organizations like PMI.

Until then, don’t forget to Leave a review of the episode. Leave a comment too. Is there certain information you’re looking for? Is there a certain topic you want to know more about? Is there a certain guest you’d like for us to interview? Let us know.

So…if you’re an existing PMP, I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to earn your required PDUs with information that is valuable, accessible, and affordable.

You can still listen to the podcast for free. But, if you want to earn credits, then you do have to become a member. And, like American Express, membership does have its privileges.

We will resume our regular schedule lineup with the next episode. And it’s a good one! If you haven’t subscribed to the show, make sure you do that now so that you don’t miss it!

  • Behind the Facade: How to Structure Company Operations for Sustainable Success: Some small businesses fail not from the lack of customers, but from far too many. In their attempt to attract an influx of customers via smart branding, they erect, whether intentionally or not, a façade. This façade becomes a problem when their inability to align capability with capacity becomes the norm and not the exception. Is it possible to save these fast-growing businesses from implosion? The answer is yes, and you can discover the solution in Alicia’s book!
